phase one line-up of the 2012 event
After much anticipation, phase one of the three day event lineup was released on April 5th! MTV's website posted an article that gave a tease of some of the DJs booked to come light up the stage during the EDC 2012 weekend.
The photo on the left shows the full line-up so far, and some DJs even commented to MTV their excitement for the EDC 2012 experience; "Before most gigs these days, I'm more excited than nervous. An event like EDC is the exception, though" says Jono of trance DJ duo Above and Beyond. "How sick was it to play in front of that amount of people? It's definitely an amazing experience that I haven't had anywhere else in the world so far!" claims the DJ Avicii of his previous year's experience.
This years event is pushing the previous years attendance by an extra 100,000 people! Rumor also has it that festival producer Pasquale Rotella is petitioning the Fire Department to allow for an extra 30,000 attendees. "We are not a concert. We are so much more than that — it's about the production, it's about the art. The music being played is the soundtrack to your experience for the evening", Rotella claims.
Brace yourselves ladies and gentleman- this is only phase ONE of many to come, with more acts being added regularly. We will keep you posted!
